Week at a Glance (3/6-3/10) Randall Museum Science Fair Winner

Hello and welcome to the new week!

As we enter the new week, we would like to congratulate one of our 7th grade students, Anastasia Paramonova, for receiving 1st place in the Randall Science Fair. 🥳 Her project “Walking through the City: Which Strategy is faster?” used computer simulations to prepare various walking strategies along city blocks and identified how variables such as block length or the street crossing timing affect the overall travel time. The project will be on display at school in front of the office this week.

Now let's look at what the week ahead is going to look like:

Monday:

Kindergarten: Will learn how to measure inches

5th Grade Science: Starting weather and climate unit

9-12th Grade Art/Art History will be preparing for the Baroque/ Rococo art period test.



Tuesday:

5th Grade English will continue watching Mary and Dickon bring the secret garden back to life

6th Grade Science: Finishing resources unit and beginning weather



Wednesday:

4/5th Grade Language will continue classifying pattern 2 sentences

7th Grade Math: Word problems with unknown variables



Thursday: 

6-8th Grade Art will begin printmaking using linoleum tiles

7/8th Grade Science: Sustainability and Importance of Biodiversity



Friday:

9/10th Grade Chemistry: Exothermic reactions (making hand warmers)

6-12th Grade P.E. classes will be doing Presidential Physical Fitness Testing
