Week at a Glance 9/25-9/29 The Elevation of the Cross

Hello and welcome to the new week!

Welcome to an exciting and promising week ahead! We commence our week with Liturgy before classes, observing the Elevation of the Cross. This feast day aligns beautifully with our ongoing theme, "I am the door" from John 10:9 which represents Jesus as the gateway to salvation and spiritual nourishment. It connects with the Feast of the Universal Elevation of the Cross by highlighting how Christ's sacrifice on the Cross opened the door to eternal life and reconciliation with God.

Mark your calendars for September 26th, 2023, as the Student Council gears up for another exciting fundraiser. This time, we're rallying behind the 6th-grade class to acquire gymnastic mats for PE classes. Join us for a scrumptious bake sale with a zesty lemon theme! We'll be offering homemade lemon cupcakes, lemon mini pies, lemon cookies, and refreshing lemonade, available during lunch and after school. Don't miss out on this delightful treat for a great cause! Additionally, we're delighted to report the success of our Friday House Competition, led by Mr. Florakis. The House of Alexandra ended up taking first place! Congrats! For those who may not be familiar, the House Competition is a vibrant and engaging contest that fosters camaraderie and healthy competition in our school community. During the year, we organize both small and large house contests, with each victory earning points for the respective houses. As the year concludes, the winning house has the privilege of selecting a prize.
