Week at a Glance (5/15-5/19)

Welcome back to a new and wonderful week. As a reminder our annual Paschal Appeal Online Fundraiser through Snap ends today! If you would like to support the school please click this link! This Sunday is the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman which teaches us the importance of treating others with compassion and kindness, regardless of their background or circumstances. It reminds students to embrace diversity, reject prejudice, and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

Now let's look at what the week ahead is going to look like:

MONDAY:

K-1st Grade History will be making Abraham Lincoln's log cabin

4/5th Grade Grammar and Vocabulary students will write a persuasive essay

4/5th Grade Art will continue working on toothpick sculptures

6th Grade Science will be learning about biofeedback loops and the transport of materials throughout your body

TUESDAY:

2nd Grade English will be working on changing verb endings and tenses

7th Grade Math will be learning about probability and compound events

7/8th Grade Science will learn about Mendel's pea plants and intro to genetics

6-8th Grades Religion will be discussing The Raising Of The Son Of The Widow Of Nain (Luke 7:11–17), John The Baptist Sends His Disciples To The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Lord’s Witness Concerning John The Baptist (Matt 11:2–19; Luke 7:18–35) and Rebuking The Sinful Cities, Praising God For Revealing The Truth To Children, And A Call To All Who Are Weary And Heavy Laden (Matt 11:20–30; Luke 10:13–16, 21–22)

9-12th Grades will discuss The Opinion Of Agrippa And The Others Concerning Paul’s Case: They Admit His Innocence (26:28–32), Paul’s Journey From Caesaria To Rome. From Caesaria To Myra In Lycia (27:1–5) and From Myra To Crete And Paul’s Warning, Which Was Not Heeded (27:6–13).

WEDNESDAY:

5th Grade Science will be finishing the physical science unit with sound

THURSDAY: 

3rd Grade English teacher will be assessing students on quotations

9/10th Grade Chemistry will start learning about acids and bases

FRIDAY:

5th Spelling and Reading will start reading Book 3 of Redwall
