Week at a Glance (3/20-3/24) Golden Gate STEM Fair Second Place Winner
Hello and welcome to the new week!
As we enter the new week, we would like to congratulate one of our 7th-grade students, Anastasia Paramonova, for receiving the second-place award in the regional Golden Gate STEM fair and being invited to compete at the California State Science Fair level. 🥳 If you would like to read more about her project check out our previous Week at a Glance post which can be found here. We wish Anastasia the best of luck at the California State Science Fair!
Now let's look at what the week ahead is going to look like:
MONDAY:
K-1st Grade will read Mrs. Rumphius
4/5th Grade Grammar and vocabulary will continue work with Classical roots
5th Grade Science will be learning about separating solids and liquids of different densities
6th Grade Science will be learning how to classify living things
7/8th Grade Science starts learning about renewable and non-renewable sources of energy
11th Grade US History will be finishing a research project investigating misquoted American Orthodox Saints
TUESDAY:
6th Grade Modern History will be continuing to study the First World War and will be reading letters from soldiers who fought in the war
6-8th Grades Religion will be learning about Plucking The Heads Of Grain On A Sabbath (Matt 12:1–8; Mark 2:23–28; Luke 6:1–5)and Choosing The Twelve Apostles (Matt 10:2–4; Mark 3:13–19; Luke 6:12–16)
9/10th Grade Chemistry will start learning about the properties of States of Matter
9/10th Grade Modern History will be working on a research project using primary sources to follow in the wake of the European explorers of the 16th and 17th centuries
WEDNESDAY:
5th Grade Spelling/Reading will present their setting cinquains
9-12th Grades Religion will start learning about The Apostle Paul speaking to the crowd about his conversion and his calling to the Apostolic Ministry (Acts 22:1–21).
THURSDAY:
7/8th Grade Ancient History will be starting to study ancient India and China
FRIDAY:
12th Grade Government and Economics will be beginning to study the American Judiciary branch of government
