Week at a Glance 11/25-11/26th Thanksgiving Break
Welcome to the Week Ahead!
As we enter Thanksgiving week, we are reminded of the many blessings in our school community. Here’s what’s ahead in this short and special week:
Upcoming Events:
Thanksgiving Break:
On Tuesday, November 26th, we’ll have a Thanksgiving lunch at 11:30 AM, followed by early release at 1:00 PM. Thanksgiving break runs through Sunday, December 1st, with classes resuming on Monday, December 2nd.
Homemade Pumpkin Pies:
One of our talented parents is offering her delicious homemade organic pumpkin pies for your Thanksgiving table! These pies are made from scratch with baked pumpkins, the finest organic ingredients, less sugar, and gluten-free crusts.
Cost: $25 per pie.
Order Deadline: Submit your payment by Monday, November 25th to Samar
Pickup: Pies will be available during our Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday, November 26th.
All proceeds benefit St. John’s Academy. Thank you for supporting our school and enjoying these delightful homemade treats!
Children's Slavic Holiday Fair:
We're excited to fundraise and promote St. John’s Academy at The Children's Slavic Holiday Fair on Saturday, December 7th, 12:00 - 4:00 PM. RAWL is sponsoring our table, and we need parent volunteers to provide desserts (cookies, cupcakes, pies, etc.) and 2-3 helpers to manage the table. All proceeds benefit our school. Please contact Helen ASAP if you can bake or volunteer; you'll be added to the guest list!
For this upcoming week:

4th & 5th Grades: Practicing drawing and measuring angles in circles.
6th Grade: Exploring circumference.
7th Grade: Constructing plots for data analysis.
