Week at a Glance 10/16-10/20 House Contest & Bake Sale
Hello and welcome to the new week!
Greetings and welcome to an exciting and promising week ahead! To start, don't miss our Bake Sale on Monday during lunch and after school. We're also gearing up for a House Competition this Wednesday at lunch, so put on your thinking caps! Additionally, we're delighted to announce the revival of the homework help program at St. John's Academy. Mr. Florakis and Mr. Howry will be supervising these after-school sessions, scheduled from Monday to Thursday, running from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. There's an option to reserve a spot on a monthly basis, and a discount for those who sign up for the entire Semester 1. If you're interested in enrolling your child in the program or need more information, please reach out to the office. We look forward to a productive and engaging week!
Now let's look at what the week ahead is going to look like:
MONDAY:
Bake Sale
Kindergarten will finish their Alphabet Vocabulary project
1st Grade English will learn capitalization rules
2-3th Grade Art will be working on collages
4-5th Grade Art will finish up Mosaics for the open house
TUESDAY:
6th Grade English students will be learning about the hero's journey and writing personal essays about heroes and what it means to be a hero.
WEDNESDAY:
House Contest
7th grade English students will be finishing "As You Like It," and writing final essays.
10-11th Grade Literature students will continue the literary analysis of "The Scarlet Letter."
THURSDAY:
6-8th Grade Art will continue with the Monet project
Friday:
10-12th Grade Art/Art History will begin Renaissance art projects.
