Passive fundraising boosts St. John's Academy income while you shop!
Do you ever shop at Amazon or Cole Hardware? If so, how about turning each purchase into a donation for St. John’s Academy? As more of us — as well as our families and friends — opt-in, our shopping habits can add up and eventually generate significant income for the school throughout the year.
The numbers will be shared with parents by the end of the academic year 2019-2020.
AmazonSmile: When ordering through Amazon, visit the site https://smile.amazon.com/, log in, and choose St. John of San Francisco Orthodox Academy as your preferred charity. For each eligible item you purchase, 0.5% of the price will be donated back to the school. On your mobile phone, follow exactly the same process, then create a shortcut to the website on your home screen (click the top right corner of your screen to open the dropdown menu —> “Add to homescreen”). Use that icon instead of launching the Amazon app which won’t let you connect to the Smile Amazon program. The mobile version of https://smile.amazon.com/ looks and feels exactly like the app.
Cole Hardware: When shopping at Cole Hardware in San Francisco, make sure to mention St. John of San Francisco Orthodox Academy at check-out. Once a year, 10% of all your purchases are donated to the school as a giftcard through the stores’ Community Partners Assistance Program. It helps support the school’s operating costs.
OCTOBER & NOVEMBER EXCLUSIVE: Good Eggs grocery delivery: To enroll in the fundraiser, visit schools.goodeggs.com and enter the school's code stjohnsf before placing your first order. If you are a new customer, you will receive $20 off your first Good Eggs order. Most importantly, 5% will be donated to St. John’s Academy for all orders starting October 1 through November 30.
The school will earn a $150 bonus if 10 new families try Good Eggs for the first time, and an additional $350 for 20, so if you know people who haven't yet tried Good Eggs, encourage them to join!
